EVENING...

...SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM BEARING DOWN ON THE REGION...

.LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL MOVE
NORTHEAST INTO THE OHIO VALLEY REGION BY LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE
AREA LATE TONIGHT AND EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. THE SNOW IS LIKELY
TO BECOME HEAVY TUESDAY
Potential winter storm to hit area Friday and Saturday

Current computer models are projecting a possible strong winter storm for the area Friday into Saturday. There still are questions as to the storm track, which will determine greatly snowfall potential. Current indications are that 5-8 inches of snowfall could be possible. In addition, it is possible winds could pick up on Saturday causing blowing snow. However, this should be a wet snowfall and the blowing snow could be suppressed. The lastest model as of this afternoon, has backed off
