In any disaster, communication is the key to success. Time and time again, amateur radio operators have proven that they can communicate in the most extreme situations. For that reason, Blackford County EMA has partnered with the Blackford Amateur Radio Club (BARC) to prepare, train and meet together to better our communication abilities in the time of need.
The Blackford County EOC and Mobile Command center is equiped with Amateur Radio equipment as well as standard Police, Fire and EMS communication equipment to support and maintain a high level of communication service to the citizens of Blackford County.
