Planning Council

Emergency Support Functions within Blackford County are discussed on a monthly basis during Planning Council Meeting.  These meetings have produced a tremendous amount of positive networking and discussion with key players in the Emergency Response Field including public and private organizations.  Members include:

Hartford City Fire Department
Hartford City Police Department
Blackford County Sheriff's Office
Blackford County Health Department
Blackford Community Hospital
Blackford County EMS
Montpelier Police Department
Montpelier Fire Department
American Red Cross
Miller's Merry Mannor
Blackford County Schools
Elected and Public Officials
Blackford County Emergency Management


Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Blackford County Emergency Operations Center.  Meeting minutes are publicized to show the collaborative effort that takes place on a regular basis.
