 | Emergency Operations Center Located on the second floor of the Blackford County Courthouse Annex, the Blackford County Emergency Operations Center is the heart and soul of Emergency Management activites in Blackford County. The Emergency Operations Center hosts both emergency coordination during major emergencies as well as the majority of Blackford County Emergency Management's training activities.
It is almost a requirement that our facility be high-tech using the most up-to-date equipment available. We strive to meet this requirement by using the best and most up-to-date equipment available to us. The Emergency Operations Center houses a number of communication systems as well as an elaborate computer system. We also have a number of redundant systems to fall back on in the event our primary system is no longer available. These redundant systems include generator power, a back-up internet connection, and a complete communications system.
